Weak Coffee Sucks
Posted June 16th, 2008 at 7:39 amThis morning I woke up early to do some laundry. Today, we're demoing our app at work to some people, and I wanted some clean clothes that look half way presentable. Hopefully it goes ok. There's still a lot of lose ends to tie up before 3 PM, but I think we'll get it done. Anyway, I decided to make some coffee. I poured in water for 8 cups, which gives me a few before I leave and fill up my mug for the travel there and the first few hours at work. What I didn't realize, is that I was almost out of coffee.
Change != bad
Posted May 17th, 2008 at 10:21 pmSo here I sit, on the eve of my first Saturday in Omaha. Earlier, after I got my interwebs hooked up (finally..), I walked down to the Old Market and got some food, a CD by Cut Copy, a CD by Tokyo Police Club and a pint of beer. I've been listening to the Cut Copy cd, titled In Ghost Colours and so far it's fabulous. It has a somewhat 80's sound, and it's very mellow and smooth.
Magnolia
Posted May 11th, 2008 at 10:53 pmUpon my arrival in Omaha, one of the first things that Dusty took care of was giving me the paperwork for the hotel I would be staying at since my apartment didn't have electricity hooked up yet. Magnolia was the name. Ok, sure. It was in downtown Omaha, so it must be at least decent, as the downtown area reminds me a lot of Iowa City but perhaps a bit nicer, and not as many cake factories. I was sure it would be adequate.
