Life

light

Mornings are a unique aspect of a day. The start of a new one - the most time between now and dusk, when the wind dies back down and the temperature falls. Mornings light up everything, darkness evades the rays of yellow only for so long. Morning comes like a heartbeat - the pulse of life. A crescendo of activity marking yet another day.

Enjoy yours.

Change != bad

So here I sit, on the eve of my first Saturday in Omaha. Earlier, after I got my interwebs hooked up (finally..), I walked down to the Old Market and got some food, a CD by Cut Copy, a CD by Tokyo Police Club and a pint of beer. I've been listening to the Cut Copy cd, titled In Ghost Colours and so far it's fabulous. It has a somewhat 80's sound, and it's very mellow and smooth.

Reservations

As anyone who is or was a college student can attest to, lunch time in the Union (every campus has one) is somewhat hectic. This results in people reserving tables for themselves by means of a backpack, friend(s), or a homeless person. Most students acknowledge a certain limitation of the staff to keep tables in proper order during such times, and thus often there are random bits of paper, pencils, pens or other crap on the tables.

Thus, a few pieces of paper are not enough to reserve a table. Usually.

Bye Day!

Early today, perhaps around 10 AM, I decided to upgrade my Drupal install to version 6.2. As it turns out, this was a mistake. Luckily I made backups before I attempted this feat, or I probably would have given up blogging for a second time.

I’m going to become an alcoholic

Her: Just making sure
Me: ..you’re an idiot
Her: no i’m not
Me: Yes you are, I have proof
Her: you’re an idiot
Me: you’re right, I’m an idiot.

Hello Allyn,
I hope you have reviewed your notes for tomorrow’s make-up exam at 2 PM in 305 Baker Hall.

I ask for you to excuse yourself when I pass out the exams at the end of tomorrow’s class (but come for the lecture part). I will meet you in 305 Baker immediately after class.
