Scrabble

A month or so ago, over spring break, a friend (Kenyon) and I played Scrabble. At some point, we started making up words. Our rule was that to make up a word we had to give it a definition. After all, that is what makes a word. What follows is a list of those words.

Stuuh - A Creole dish featuring carrots and cactus

Skove - Snake filled pits in Indiana Jones movies

Isd - Past-tense 'is'

Peern - A real, real big pear

Mcatgen - McDonalds sells it in Afghanistan to seem culturally diverse. It is made from butter and cheetos.

Hileee - One step below a mountain

Fvni - Roman spelling of funny

Weeji - A Squeegee brand name. Often marketed as 'Weeji, fun for the whole family!'

Raotay - When you have the runs and get spashback

As a Student

Sometimes I notice things about stuff. When I notice enough of these things that are related, I put them into a blog post. Sometimes I make those blog posts public. This is one of those.

These things happen to be on the subject of school; most notably, professors. If you are a professor of mine, perhaps it would be wise if you didn't read this. Don't say I didn't warn you :)

As a student, please do not waste my time, and I will do my best to not waste yours. Please do not waste my time. Again, as this is very important: please, for the love of $deity, do not waste my time.

As a student, we know when you are playing favorites. Your students know, and we tell the freshmen not to take your classes.

So, Lately

The last month of my life has been, without question, the most productive and inspiring month of my life.

I owe it all to water. Well, ok. I owe lots of it to water.

For as far back as I can remember, I've had what one might call a 'weight problem'. For years, this has caused me depression, low self esteem, and various negative physical effects. I was tired all the time, even after sleeping for 8 or more hours. I rarely felt healthy. And the list, it grows and grows.

Short Story

I wrote this short story for a writing class a few days ago. I haven't posted anything on here for a while, so I figured that I'd throw it up on here.

So, it's finals week. I should be writing some papers, but here I am, making a 'post finals week' todo list.
